Tragedy as Woman slumps, dies while giving testimony in Lagos

A 55-year old woman, simply identified as Ifeoma, has slumped and died while sharing a testimony in her church.

Ifeoma died during a church service in the Ejigbo area of Lagos State on Sunday.

The state police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin on Wednesday confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN.

“The church accountant reported that Ifeoma came out singing songs to give her testimony during church service when she suddenly slumped.

“She was quickly taken to a nearby hospital but was referred to a hospital in Isolo where she was confirmed dead.”

The Police spokesperson also said that when officers got to the hospital, they were told that the husband and family of the deceased had taken her body to her town in Anambra State for burial.

However, the name of the church where the incident happened was not mentioned in the report.
