Nigeria vs Benin: Super Eagles pumped up ahead of AFCON 2025 qualifier

Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong says the team is fired up for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Benin Republic.

The three-time African champions will entertain the Cheetahs in a matchday one encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Saturday.

Troost-Ekong said all the players are in a positive mood and are ready for action.

“The mood in camp is very good, we’re excited about his game and we want to be in Morocco (for the AFCON),” the centre-back said at Friday’s media briefing in Uyo.

“We will do that by winning games to qualify.

“The boys are in the right frame of mind and I liked what I have seen in training.”

The game will kick-off at 5pm Nigeria time.
