France Football, the organizers of the Ballon d’Or awards, have unveiled Super Eagles and Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman as part of the nomination for the 2024 Ballon d’Or award.

Lookman made the award nomination list after his heroics in the Europa League final where he scored a hat-trick as Atalanta defeated Bayer Leverkusen.

The list contains expected names like Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Vinicius Jr (Real Madrid), Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Kylian Mbappe (PSG/ Real Madrid).

Vinicius Jr is believed to the hot favourite to win the prize.

Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi, the current holder and eight-time winner, does not make the cut.
