INEC Publishes Candidates’ Particulars for November’s Ondo State Governorship Election

THE Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday published the personal details of 17 governorship candidates contesting the November 16, 2024 Guber poll in Ondo State.

The details of the deputy governorship candidates were also published.

Though, the names of the deputy governorship candidates of the parties are not yet known as at the time of this report, it was gathered that one of the major political parties used a placeholder for its deputy governorship slot.

“As indicated in our Press Release dated 23rd May 2024, the Commission today published the personal particulars and academic credentials of candidates and their running mates (Form EC9) for the Ondo State Governorship election at the State office in Akure for public scrutiny.”

INEC is expected to publish the final names of candidates for the election on June 18, 2024 after which substitution by political parties would have been effected, while campaigns will kick off on June 19, 2024.
