Governor Dapo Abiodun of said his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) had failed in many local governments in Ogun State.

Gov Abiodun said this accounted for why he did not know what to say during his campaign in the buildup to the 2019 governorship election.

He, however, expressed satisfaction that the promises he made during the campaign were being fulfilled.

While saying he could not solve all problems facing the state, Abiodun promised to leave Ogun much better than he met it.

The Governor, while addressing APC loyalists in Abeokuta North ahead of Saturday’s local government elections, stated:

“When I was campaigning, it was difficult for me to campaign because I didn’t have anything to say. That was because I was campaigning on the platform of the APC, and the party has failed in so many local governments.

“I didn’t have anything to say but I said to you, I made promises and I am glad to say that all the promises I made to you, I have either fulfilled them or I am fulfilling them. This is a promise-keeping administration.”
