The Ondo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has said that the CBT Exams would be conducted for applicants by Thursday, May 23, 2024, and Friday, May 24, 2024, starting at 9 a.m.
The message was conveyed to the successful applicants via a Text Message. Successful applicants are expected to log in with their Username and Password created at their point of registration into the commission’s official portal via;
https://cbt.ondotescom.com.ng.
Recall that, the Lucky Aiyedatiwa administration of the Ondo State government has approved the recruitment of 1000 teachers into the public secondary schools of the State.
The recruitment exercise started on Tuesday, April 9, and ended on Saturday, April 13, 2024.
Applicants with the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) and holders of Bachelor’s Degree are eligible to apply for the following subjects:
Accounting
Agricultural Science
Biology, Business Studies
Basic Science and Technology
Cultural and Creative Arts
Chemistry
Christian Religious Studies, Computer Science
Economics
English language Studies
Food and Nutrition
French language
Geography, Government
History
Islamic studies
Mathematics, Physics
Social Studies
Special Education, and
Yoruba language.
It is expected that teachers to be recruited must be ready to teach in the public Secondary Schools in the rural areas of the State for five years at least before they can be transferred to other schools in urban areas when the need arises.
In a communique signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ondo State Teaching Service, Mrs. Funmilayo Akinola, no teacher would be employed by the Commission through the “back door.” The teachers to be employed must have very good scores on the aptitude test in the recruitment interview.
