The Oyo State Government has demolished the building housing Yoruba Nation agitators led by Modupe Onitiri-Abiola in Ibadan, the state capital.
The structure, located on Toye Oyesola Street in Ibadan South West Local Government Area, was pulled down on Wednesday evening.
Some individuals believed to be Yoruba Nation agitators had earlier stormed the Oyo Government Secretariat on Saturday, April 13.
Security forces apprehended them, and they were arraigned in court on Wednesday morning.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Adegoke Fayoade, has ordered the deployment of police officers to key areas across the city to prevent gatherings of Yoruba Nation advocates.
Police officers were stationed at Gani Fawehinmi Park in Ojota and other vital locations across the State in anticipation of the Yoruba Nation activists.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the deployment, emphasising the command’s stance against criminal activities anywhere in the state.
