ONDO: Report reaching this Newspaper indicates that one of the Ondo State Governorship Aspirants under the All Progressives Congress, APC, Wale Akinteriwa’s convoy allegedly bought fuel at a Petrol Station but refused to pay for fuel for all the vehicles in the convoys.
The report was posted on social media by one of the users of X.com, Oyedele Abiodun, @oyedelea41 with a video to back it up. Abiodun said they left Ile-Oluji for campaign.
“Fuel theft was recorded on CCTV footage wherein former Finance Commissioner and Governorship Aspirant, Wale Akinterinwa and his associates obtained fuel from Matrix Filling Station in Ondo town without payment.
Subsequently, they assaulted the fuel attendant. Viewer’s discretion.”
What we cannot understand, is Akinterinwa aware of this ugly incident?
Police React
In a swift reaction the Force Public Relations Officer, ASP Muyiwa Adejobi orders a thorough investigation to the incident,
“@OndoPoliceNg, @PoliceNG, take up this and handle it objectively. Get the contact of the victim for detailed information, and revert. Compol Ondo too has been contacted on this matter. Thanks,” Police said.
