Hon. Odebunmi Idowu Fulfils Campaign Promise, Set Pace in Oye Constituency II, Ekiti

THE Member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly representing Oye Constituency II, Hon. Idowu Odebunmi, has concluded his community engagement program and ward tour on Thursday.

The initiative began with a town hall meeting bringing together key stakeholders, including market women, transport unions, student unions, youth leaders, artisans, and religious leaders.

During the interactive session, Hon. Odebunmi expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received by their party during the electioneering season. He highlighted the transformative agenda of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and the unprecedented achievements witnessed under his leadership.

The day was marked by enthusiasm from constituents, who shared their joy about the progress made under the current administration. In return, Hon. Odebunmi listened to their challenges and provided a comprehensive report on legislative and oversight efforts undertaken since the inauguration of the 7th assembly.

Prior to this, Hon. Odebunmi embarked on a visit to Omu-Ijelu and Ilupeju ward on Wednesday, aiming to connect with party faithfuls and discuss ongoing plans and accomplishments. During the meeting, he reaffirmed his commitment to soliciting feedback from constituents and emphasized the importance of grassroots involvement in governance.

Hon. Odebunmi also praised Governor Oyebanji’s dedication to grassroots development and called for collaboration between the government and communities to drive progress. The Chairman of Ifeloju LCDA and the APC Chairman of Oye Local Government commended Governor Oyebanji’s developmental strides and praised Hon. Odebunmi for bridging the communication gap between the government and grassroots.

Honorable Odebunmi, when speaking with Newsmen, revealed his tireless efforts in drafting bills aimed at benefiting his constituents. He emphasized the recent passage of a bill geared towards youth empowerment and urged them to anticipate more initiatives. He assured active engagement in various sectors including education, human development, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, and elderly support, coupled with schemes to empower the youth.

Assuring continuous engagement, Hon. Odebunmi pledged to make these interactions a regular fixture, fostering transparency and action. As representatives, they stand firm in their commitment to deliver quality representation that empowers every corner of Oye Constituency II.”
