1. The Army last night requested the Okuoma community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State to identify those who killed its officers and men. It also released the names of those slain. The Army, in a post captioned “Rest in Peace our Fallen Heroes” on its X-handle, put their number at 17 and not 16 as widely reported by the media.

2. The Kaduna State police command on Monday confirmed the abduction of 86 persons from the Kajuru-Station community in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. They were kidnapped on Sunday by the bandits terrorizing the state.

3. The Defence Ministry on Monday assured that the military would not fail to arrest the killers of the officers and soldiers as directed by President Bola Tinubu. Like Tinubu, the ministry condemned the killings, saying it is unacceptable and warned that no threat to the nation’s stability would be tolerated.

4. Twelve more Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, directors may have been scheduled for dismissal, it was learnt on Monday. Reports on the planned sack of the senior personnel followed the termination of the appointments of seven directors by the apex bank last Friday.

5. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday handed over documents of properties and 324 houses recovered for Kano State pensioners to them. The handing over of the houses by the Abuja Zonal Command of the EFCC, followed a final forfeiture order granted by Justice I.E. Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja.

6. The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, is to begin sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for the Ondo State governorship election on the 3rd through to the 10th of April, 2024. APC National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Suleiman Argungu, in a notice issued on Monday, said the release of the timetable and schedule of activities complied with the Electoral Act 2022 and relevant sections of the constitution.

7. The village head of Riruwai in Lame District of Bauchi Emirate in Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Alhaji Garba Badamasi, has been murdered. It was gathered that the village head was earlier kidnapped by gunmen who invaded his domain on Friday, 15th March, 2024.

8. Officers of the Akwa Ibom Police Command have arrested a self-kidnap suspect, Imaobong Sampson, and her boyfriend, Beltus Ebong, in Mbierebe Obio village, Ibesikpo Asutan Area of the state. Police said the suspects were nabbed in their hideout by operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad after the case of kidnapping was reported by someone who identified herself as a relative.

9. The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria and the Major Energy Marketers Association of Nigeria have projected a marginal reduction in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol, produced from the Port Harcourt Refining Company once the plant begins operations next month.

10. National President, Nigeria Labour Congress, Joe Ajaero, has called on the Federal Government to pay the four months withheld salaries of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational Associated Institutions. This was in reaction to the seven-day warning strike that SSANU/NASU began on Monday, which grounded universities’ activities across the country.
