Akere said the incumbent Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has desecrated the culture of selection of our royal fathers by sacking those who had already passed through all selection processes of their communities.

He decried the governor’s action as being politically motivated which he insisted could not stand, citing the case of Owa of Igbajo, Oba Famodun whose selection process spanned over 200 days before his coronation as Oba, yet Adeleke sacked him.

Akere called on well meaning Nigerians to intervene on looming crisis about to befall the state as a result of self centeredness of the governor.

He further stated that, “state APC members are law abiding citizens of Osun state and we will not allow Adeleke’s government to silent opposition in the state”.

The event which was carnival-like saw members of the Movement dancing and praising God for his protection and guidance as they called on God to bring back the glory of Nigeria through the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and for God to put an end to incessant bloodshed and hardships in Nigeria”

Present at the event were; 332 coordinators of all the federal constituency including members of the planning committee, Representative of Prince Dotun Babayemi, anointed men of God, and other dignitaries in the state and at the federal level.
