Guinea- Bissau winger Carlos Mane says the Djurtus are keen to put an end to their winless streak at the Africa Cup of Nations.
The tiny West African nation are making their fourth AFCON finals appearance in Cote d’Ivoire.
The Djurtus are however yet to record a win in the history of the competition.
They have already lost their opening two fixtures at the AFCON 2023 finals to Cote d’Ivoire and Equatorial Guinea.
Mane however said the team’s target is to get maximum points against Nigeria.
“It’s true that we are yet to win a game at the AFCON since we started participating in 2017,” Mane, who plays for Turkish club Kayserispor, told a press conference in Abidjan.
“It will be great to get our first win in the AFCON against a big country like Nigeria.
“We are ready for this game, it will be difficult to beat Nigeria but it is achievable.”
