IGP Set Up Special Squad Against Bandits in FCT

THE IGP said the special operations, when launched, would be deployed to all Area Councils in the nation’s capital city.

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun has reacted to killings and kidnapping taking place in Abuja.

IGP has now set up a Special Intervention Squad, SIS to arrest the recent surge in kidnapping, killing and other activities of the bloodthirsty bandits.

The IGP said the special operations, when launched, would be deployed to all Area Councils in the nation’s capital city.

Recall that the gunmen have, in the last few weeks, attacked and kidnapped several residents of the territory.

President Bola Tinubu and the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike had assured residents of their commitment to ensuring that the security situation is brought under control.
