Man Utd Frustrate Liverpool To Draw At Anfield, Coach Reacts

VOICE AIR MEDIA News Update

Liverpool missed the chance to move back to the top of the Premier League as Manchester United held them to a 0-0 draw at Anfield.

Arsenal had earlier beaten Brighton 2:0 to move to the top of the league.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were favourite to win and pushed throughout but found United in resolute mood.

Virgil van Dijk’s header in the first half and Luis Diaz’s header after the interval were as close as Liverpool came to the breakthrough.

While this was hardly a classic display from injury-hit United, who had Diogo Dalot sent off for dissent in stoppage time, Ten Hag had cause to be much happier than Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp whose side missed a chance to return to the top of the Premier League.

United keeper Andre Onana made one fine first-half save from Virgil van Dijk, while Rasmus Hojlund had the visitors’ best chance in the second half but saw his shot blocked at the near post by Liverpool’s Alisson.

Liverpool dominated possession but were too often wasteful and had to settle for a point, not enough to overhaul Arsenal.

Coach Ten Hag praises Man Utd duo after Liverpool draw

Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag has praised his centre-half partnership of Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans following the Red Devils’ Premier League 0-0 draw with Liverpool on Sunday.

Ten Hag said Varane and Evans played very well against Liverpool, adding that the duo are very experienced.

Recall that both teams failed to score at Anfield as the match ended in a goalless draw.

Speaking after the game, Ten Hag told Sky Sports: “They played very well.

“Raphael Varane and Evans, they played a brilliant game.

“I don’t think they ever played together apart from in training but you see they are very”.
