Tragedy As Several Nigerian Immigration Personnel Die In Road Accident

VOICE AIR MEDIA News Update

Several members of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), band team have died in a fatal accident along the Kano/Zaria road on Sunday morning, VOICE AIR MEDIA learnt.

Reports said all the band members died in the unfortunate accident.

However, the cause of the accident and the actual number of personnel who died were yet to be confirmed at the time of filing this report.

The Headquarters of the Service in Abuja has been thrown into a pensive and mourning mood following the tragic accident.

It was gathered that the bus conveying the band was returning from Kano State on Sunday morning after the band had performed at the Presidential Commissioning and Passing Out Parade of the 48th Superintendent Basic Course 2023 at the Immigration Training School, Kano.

The event was attended by the Acting Comptroller General of the Immigration Service, Mrs Wura-Ola Adepoju, and other top management members of the Service.

Meanwhile, the Service Public Relations Officer, Dr Dotun Aridegbe, only responded by saying, “We are in a very pensive mood right now”, when he was asked to confirm the incident.
