Mother Of Viral ‘Mummy Calm Down’ Boy Reportedly Dies In Edo

An unconfirmed report has claimed that Toluige Olokoobi Babalola, the mother of internet sensation Oreofeoluwa, has taken her own life in Benin, Edo state.

It will be recalled that Ore gained popularity in 2020 after a video of him telling his mother to calm down when she was rebuking him went viral.

He was subsequently invited by the Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, secured ambassadorial deals, and even featured in a movie.

Sadly, three years after Ore gained popularity, his mother has reportedly committed suicide for reasons best known to her.

A social media user, who shared the heartbreaking news on the microblogging platform, revealed that she left behind three children for her husband.

The user, @sammydo214, wrote:

“The woman in the viral Mummy Calm down Video has just committed suicide here in Benin. She refused to speak to anyone about her problems. She left 3 kids for her husband, including the popular Mummy Calm down boy.”

While the sad news remains unconfirmed, many netizens have taken to social media to mourn her alleged demise, highlighting the concerning issue of depression in the country.
