Fans Mock Popular Nigerian Cleric Over Fake Football Match Result Prophesy

VAM News Update

Football fans in Nigeria have mocked a famous Nigerian cleric, Primate Elijah Ayodele, over a ‘fake’ prophesy on the result of a football game of the English Premier League.

A video had surfaced on his official X, formerly Twitter handle on Saturday, where Primate Ayodele predicted the outcome of football games, which normally serves as a betting tip for those who engage in sports betting.

One of his predictions was that Liverpool will defeat Luton Town in today’s game but the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

After the game, Football Fans took turns to troll the cleric.

Primate Ayodele has been in the news for varying controversial prophecies and statements that have at one time or the other attracted public criticism.

Here are some of the reactions:

@obajemujnr – “Liverpool will beat Luton ~ Primate Ayodele

Primate I staked my house rent 😭😳 #LUTLIV

@ENIBOY posted: “He said Liverpool versus Luton but what was played today was Luton versus Liverpool. I stand with my pastor fully 🙃”

Funniest part of this was Nobody asked him. Nobody. But when you’re a scam, you have a way of setting yourself up. The most annoying part was when he was grabbing his cap as if he was adjusting the inspiration.

@capolututi wrote: He predicted two easy games and fortunately for him. Liverpool drew. Fake prophets dem dem.

@Realtonyblack1 said: “I was expecting this bash 😀😀😀😀. The angels change the formation 🤣”

“Baba ticket cut today. He would free gambling las las and focus on his ministry,” – @dave_eleco also shared his thoughts.
