Niger govt: Despite banditry activities, we are committed to actualising Bobi Grazing Reserve 

The Niger State Government has reiterated its commitment to actualising the Bobi Grazing Reserve located in Mariga and Mashegu Local Government Areas of the state, inspite incursion of bandits into the reserve.

 

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Abubakar Usman, disclosed this at the stakeholders meeting on Bobi Grazing Reserve in Minna.

 

Usman assured of the current administration’s commitment and determination to put in place high-level security measures which will safeguard the reserve and private sector investments in the area.

 

The SSG also restated the state’s commitment to boost security and food production through the establishment of a food processing company in the state.

“The food processing company will aggregate; process and package farm produce to create business activities, boost farming and improve food security”

 

“The present administration’s commitment to agriculture is very strategic, knowing full well that the sector is the only sure way for food security, employment generation, and raw materials for industrialization.”

 

 

“Hence, the need for the government to reach out to every opportunity in order to achieve the set objectives and goals.”
