One of the leading groups in Ikale land, Ikale United Front has issued a 7-points communiqué after its general congress held on Sunday to address the current political brouhaha in the Governor Akeredolu’s led government in Ondo state.

The communiqué, which was signed by the President Jan Oladipupo and Media Publicity Secretary Duyilemi Femi and make available to newsmen on Monday explained suggested some solutions to the impeachment process of the state Deputy Governor, Lucky Ayedatiwa, calling on the three members of the state House of Assembly from Ikale land desist from joining the forces in the impeachment process or face their recall-back-home by the electorates.

COMMUNIQUÉ OF THE IKALE UNITED FRONT AFTER THE EMERGENCY MEETING HELD ON SUNDAY 24 SEPTEMBER, 2023

A communiqué made available after an exhaustive and cerebral deliberation of the general Congress of the Ikale United Front.

1 That the current political class are insensitive to the plight of the Ikale masses and that of Ondo South in general, regarding the age-long electricity blackout

2. That the entire Ikale people reject, in strong terms, the involvement of the 3 lawmakers from Ikale land in the impeachment exercise of Lucky Ayedatiwa calling it an unfortunate move

3. That we urgently demand a letter of disjoinder to the impeachment exercise from Hon. Ogunlana Christopher(Irele), Mr Gbegudu Ololade(Okitipupa 2) and Hon. Ayebusiwa Chris(Okitipupa 1) with a copy made available to all the traditional rulers in Ikale land within 24hours from the date herein

4. That our group shall begin their call back process should they fail to adhere to the suggestion in item 3 above

5. That the proposed impeachment of Ondo State deputy governor and replacement by either Hon. Femi Agagu, Princess Oladunni Odu or Hon. Malaki is a diabolical power play to exclude the people of Ikale, Ilaje, Apoi and Ijaw from the gubernatorial permutations come 2024 and by so doing they are advised to reject the offer outrightly

6. That Ikale sons and daughters should be at alert and be getting ready for massive protest against Ayedatiwa’s impeachment

7. That the Ondo State Specialist Hospital at Okitipupa be visited to ascertain the situation therein
