Homosexuality: Angry Youths Nab Group In Ibadan

A group of young men between the ages of 35-40s years, who engaged in same sex activity, were caught in the act at Auction club 247 Ikolaba Agodi G. R. A. Ibadan, Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo state. Nigeria. On Saturday 23rd of September, 2023.

Our reporter gathered that a man identified as Olufemi Joseph, who is in his early 40s and located around the environment is suspected to be engaging in same sex activity. Which according to an elder in the area, is an abomination and ungodly.

He was suspected to be recruiting young boys and lured them into this ungodly act. Olufemi Joseph couldn’t have done this alone but in the company of others.

Information reaching us had it that Olufemi Joseph had been perpetrating this act of same sex for some time prior to when it was traced to his base, where he was exposed and apprehended with his accomplice.

The youths in the area headed by one Mr ITU by name who were informed and had been suspicious of this act, mobilized themselves and bursted into the club Auction 247 at Ikolaba Agodi G. R. A. on the Saturday, 23rd September, 2023. The suspect Olufemi Joseph and 6 others people were mercilessly beaten and almost lynched, if not for the quick intervention of the men of Nigeria police who saved the situation and chased the wild and aggressive youths away.

The 6 suspects were arrested, the prime suspect in the person of Olufemi Joseph also among the lead of arrest. They were detained till following morning before police interrogation.

When contacted, the D. P. O. of the station, confirmed the incidence and that the suspect were still in his custody, those who sustained minor injuries will be treated at the nearby Government Hospital. After which they would write their statement and be charged to court as soon as the police conclude their investigation.

He told our correspondent that, homosexuality is a serious offense and they have to carry out proper investigation before charging the suspects to court.

He also confirmed his men’s effort to rearrest the ring leader identified as Olufemi Joseph who escaped in the police Custody as at the time of filling this report.
