AFCON: Osimhen Nets Hat-trick As Nigeria Whitewash Sao Tome

THE Super Eagles this evening continued their dominance over Sao Tome and Principe after defeating the visitors six goals to nill in the dead rubber AFCON Qualifiers match at the Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo.

The Nigerian side scored 10 against Sao Tome in Morocco in the reverse fixture of the qualifiers.

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who scored 4 goals during the first leg, was the hero again as he netted another 3 goals in the encounter

The Napoli based attacker scored the opening goal in the 14th minute before Ademola Lookman scored the second goal in the 28th minute.

Taiwo Awoniyi scored the 3rd goal immediately after the resumption for the second before Osimhen made it 4-0 from the spot.

Osimhen completed his hat trick before substitute Samuel Chukwueze scored the 6th goal later in the game and handed Nigeria a well-deserved point.
