I lived with my husband before marriage despite being a chorister – Kie Kie reveals

Popular skit maker and actress Bukunmi Adeaga Ilori, better known as Kie Kie, has revealed that she was already living with her husband, Tunji Ilori, before they got married.

 

According to Kie Kie, their decision to cohabit prior to marriage was primarily due to her house rent expiring several months before their planned wedding date. As her rent was set to expire in September, and their wedding was scheduled for January, she found herself unable to renew her lease, which led to the unusual living arrangement.

 

The mother of one disclosed this while featuring as a guest in the latest episode of the TokeMoments podcast hosted by Toke Makinwa.

 

Remarkably, their introduction ceremony had already taken place, but the church remained unaware of their decision to live together before formalizing their union.

 

During this time, Kie Kie was actively involved in her church choir, further adding to the intrigue surrounding their secret living arrangement.

 

Kie Kie also candidly shared her initial apprehensions about getting married but revealed that she eventually overcame her fears, attributing her decision to a series of prayers and self-reflection.

 

 

Kie Kie and her husband, Tunji Ilori, exchanged vows in February 2020, and their journey has since led to the birth of their first child, a daughter named Oluwashonaolami Olori, who was born in November 2022.
