THE Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, has assured the beneficiaries of the N-Power program that they will receive their overdue stipends soon. She said that she was aware of the challenges they faced and that she had plans to address them.
Minister, Dr. Betta Edu made this statement on Saturday through her Personal Virtual Assistant on X, formerly Twitter.
She said that she had unveiled plans to address the stipend delays, expand the program’s reach, and renew hope for countless individuals.
Betta Edu Disclosed Plans For N-power, Other NSIP Programme She explained that the payments were delayed because of the need to verify and audit the actions of the previous NASIMS administrator. She said that this was necessary to ensure that the payments were done correctly and transparently. She added that her team was working hard to complete the verification process as soon as possible and that the payments would begin shortly.
She said that the stipend payment was a sign of the government’s commitment to helping its citizens during tough times.
