One dies, three injured in Ogun multiple accidents

One person died and three others sustained varying degrees of injuries in accidents that occurred in different parts of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Sunday and Monday.

Punch Metro gathered that the first accident occurred at the Conoil area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway while the second accident happened at the Makun area of the same expressway.

An eyewitness, Ismail Akinola, who witnessed the second accident revealed that lack of concentration on the part of the drivers led to the multiple crash.

He said, “What happened was that the truck carrying container wanted to switch lane without paying attention to the tipper vehicle beside it. The tipper on sighting the truck tried to avoid collision but it was too late and therefore resulted in a multiple collision. I think it is due to lack of concentration on the part of the drivers.”
