Eid-el-kabir: Police Emplaces Adequate Security Measures In OSUN

THE Osun State Police Command on Tuesday informed all residents of the State that the command has emplaced adequate security arrangements for the Eid-El-Kabir celebration on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

VOICE AIR MEDIA recalls that the federal government of Nigeria, Declared Wednesday, Thursday as public holiday to celebrate this year’s “Ileya”.

This was contained in a Police Public announcement, signed by the Osun Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Yemisi Opalola, and made available to Newsmen, similarly gave some hot lines in case of any break down of law and order.

“The Osun State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that the Command has emplaced adequate security arrangements to ensure that this year’s EID-EL KABIR is celebrated peacefully.

“The aim of this announcement is to further re-assure the citizens of the State of the proactive security mechanisms put in place by the Command to guarantee safety of lives and property of the entire citizens before, during and beyond this festivity.

“It is however pertinent to advise the residents and visitors in the State to use halls/enclosed areas for any party instead of celebrating on the streets.

“Also, they should be security conscious and comport themselves in accordance with the provisions of the law, while appealing to members of the public to report any suspicious movement, give prompt and useful information to the Police in case of any infraction of the law through the following numbers 08039537995, 08123823980, 08075872433 and 08067788119

“The Commissioner of Police, Osun State Command wishes all Muslim faithfuls and visitors a joyous and peaceful celebration,” statement reads.
