Wole Soyinka: Social Media Has Taken Humanity Backwards

VOICE AIR MEDIA News Update

Nobel laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka says the abuse of technology and social media is gradually taking humanity backwards.

Soyinka made the remark during an event in Lagos, on Friday, June 16.

According to TheNation, he said social media has now been dominated by ignoramuses who use it to profile and abuse others.

Confessing that he’s not a fan of social media, he said: “I don’t tweet, I don’t WhatsApp. I tried WhatsApp but I stopped.”
