RESIDENTS of Olodo, Irepodun and Gidigbi Communities off Osunjela area of Osun State, had called on the state Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Adeleke to come to their aid concerning thirteen years power outage in the communities.

According to Mr. James Aina Olaoluwa, one of the Landlords in the area, said that they have being on the issue of repairing the electricity light since 2009 when former governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola was in power.

“We have spent money, time and self to acquire poles and mounting them,” he said.

Narrating the ordeal, the three communities need wire to connect the light from Abere side and to service the transformer which the Communities were using before the light problem started, Landlord said.

Similarly, the leadership of these Communities appreciated Governor Adeleke for the construction of bridge.

“We appreciated people’s governor for the construction of the bridge which is almost completed for the use of the Communities. But, they are pleading with the governor to help them solve this lingering light issue as money to procure wire to the poles bought with their money, servicing the transformer and workmanship to IBDEC staff which will connect the light are the major challenges on their way to resolve the thirteen years power outage problem in the area.”

The Communities promised to remain loyal to the government of Senator Ademola Jackson Adeleke and People Democratic party if he can help them get this light problem resolve in no distance time as the light issue has crippled the businesses within these communities.
