THERE was wild jubilation in Ekiti state after self-acclaimed Nigerian chef, Dammy, reportedly completed 100 hours of cooking non-stop.
It’s no news that Chef Dammy has been the trending topic on social media ever sincer she embarked on a 120-hour cook-a-thon, aiming to surpass Chef Hilda Baci’s previous record of 100 hours.
However, her decision to challenge Hilda Baci’s record sparked mixed reactions and ignited a widespread debate on social media.
Chef Dammy allegedly surpasses
While some criticized Chef Dammy for attempting to overshadow Hilda’s record before it was officially confirmed by Guinness World Records, others came to her defense, arguing that Hilda Baci does not have a monopoly of the title.
She, however, persisted in her mission to hit the 120-hour cooking record, despite allegations of not adhering to the guidelines set by Guinness World Records.
In a recent development, Chef Dammy is said to have completed 100 hours of cooking, as seen in a video circulating online.
The trending clip shows the team counting up to 100 hours and erupting into celebration when they reached the milestone.
To congratulate and applaud Chef Dammy for her alleged achievement, her assistant chef is seen joyfully lifting her on his shoulders in the clip.
