Red Cross Visits Osun Amotekun Corps, Applauds Agency For Job-welldone

THE International Federal Red Cross has shown readiness to collaborate with the Osun Security Network Agency and Amotekun Corps in training their personnel on first aid and safety.

Mr. Moses Taiwo (Director of International Federal Red Cross and Security, Abuja) affirmed on Wednesday in Osogbo, during his visit to the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi(Rtd).

Moses appreciates the corps commander for hosting the organization, he also lauded the corps for their wonderful accomplishment in the state in tackling criminals and marauders which encouraged them to collaborate with the corps in first aid and safety during operation.

Moses said that the Red Cross was ready to partner with the relevant stakeholders in the state in curbing crime and first aid and safety for their personnel.

He asserted that the organization is ready to educate the corps members on first aid and safety during operations.

“We are more determined for synergy and collaboration to collectively eradicate crimes across the board,” Moses said.

The Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi said that Amotekun is ready to collaborate with Red Cross in educating their personnel on First Aid and Safety.

He applauded the organization for their acknowledgment of the corps and assured that the corps does not relent in protecting the lives and properties of the residents of the state.

He also assured the organization of their safety in the state and the Amotekun is ready to assist anytime they need their attention.

“Osun has been peaceful for a very long time and Amotekun is in every nook and cranny of the state”.

“The Osun Amotekun Corps is ready to collaborate with other security agencies to curtail crimes in the state”. Adewinmbi asserted.

Adewinmbi furthermore urges the general public to beware of the hunters impersonating Amotekun anytime they are caught in some indecent acts. He charges the residents of the state to contact the Field Commander on 09060972647 whenever they are suspicious of which agency they are dealing with to clear their doubts.

Dignitaries in attendance during the visit are, Field Commander, Commander Olusoji Akanni, Board Secretary, Barr. Hassan Agbelekale, Trainer Otugbebe Elufolaju (Coordinator Red Cross Osun State), Lowo Babafemi, Asley Adegbenro, Representing Youth Wing.
