Fake army officer arraigned for alleged human trafficking in Edo

A fake Army officer, Kilo Ken, also known, as Kingsley Egharevba, has been arraigned for alleged human trafficking in Edo State.

 

 

 

The 35-year-old suspect was arraigned on a two-count charge by the Benin Zonal Command of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP)

 

 

 

 

The suspect was charged for assisting one Nifemi Afolabi (F) a.k.a Halima, now at large in organising foreign travels for a victim (name withheld) for the purpose of prostitution and knowing the victim would be forced into prostitution in Libya, pleaded not guilty to the offences.

The NAPTIP counsel, Mrs Oburoh Victoria Okanigbuan, who disclosed these revealed that the suspect committed the offence in Benin City in October 2019.

 

 

 

Before adjourning the case till June 15, 2023, Justice A.A Adewemimo ordered that the suspect continues with the administrative bail pending when the application for his bail is formally filed before the court. CONTINUE READING…………………………………………..
