The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has postponed the governorship and assembly elections in VGC, Lagos, till tomorrow.
Mr. Segun Agbaje, the INEC commissioner in Lagos, announced the development.
Agbaje said the election will commence by 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.
The postponement happened after the electorate at VGC refused to vote outside the estate.
The electorate said they have always cast their vote within the estate and questioned why their polling units were moved outside the estate.
They argued and refused to vote outside the estate, saying it exposes them to intimidation and harassment by political thugs.
Agbaje, however, rushed to VGC. He addressed the electorate and assured them that there will be no harrassment. CONTINUE READING………………………………
