There are anxiety within the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and All Progressives Congress,APC, in Osun state as appeal court commence today in Abuja over the tribunal judgement delivered two months ago on the state governorship election.

Recall that the tribunal in Osogbo had in January sacked Governor Ademola Adeleke and declared immediate governor, Gboyega Oyetola as duly elected governor of Osun.

The tribunal in its judgement ordered reduction of votes recorded for both Oyetola and Adeleke in polling unites where the Independence National Electoral Commission,INEC, admitted there were seaminly over-voting.

The reduction of the votes made Oyetola to retain the highest votes, consequently, the tribunal declared Oyetola winner of the Osun July 16, 2022 gubernatorial election.

Adeleke, Osun PDP and INEC are, however, appealing against the tribunal judgement.

Adeleke in the July 16, 2022 election defeated Oyetola with more than twenty thousand votes, declared winner by INEC and was sworn-in November 27, 2022.

Osun APC and Oyetola will also be presenting the alleged forgery of certificate by the incumbent governor to the court of appeal.

Since Adeleke became governor of Osun, Voice Air Media gathered that PDP continues to build structure round the state, as the ruling party swept all the national assembly seats of the state during the February 25 general elections.
