Mouthpiece Of Yoruba People Is Here – YMG Rolls Out Plans To Promote Kwara, Kogi, Other Yorubaland

VOICE AIR MEDIA News Update

THE Yoruba Mandate Group (YMG) has declared that the group is the leading voice and mouthpiece of the Yoruba people, according to Akogun Banji Ojo, the convener of YMG.

“The Yoruba people are a proud and strong people with a rich cultural heritage, and we deserve a voice that truly represents our views and aspirations. The Yoruba Mandate Group was created to provide that voice and to serve as the mouthpiece of the Yoruba people,” he said.

Akogun Banji Ojo further stated that the YMG is committed to promoting the interests of the Yoruba people, especially in the areas of economic development, social justice, and cultural preservation.

“We are committed to promoting the interests of the Yoruba people in all spheres of life. We believe that the Yoruba people deserve economic development, social justice, and cultural preservation. These are the core values that we will uphold as the mouthpiece of the Yoruba people,” he added.

He also highlighted the need for unity among Yoruba people, urging them to come together to achieve their common goals.

“Unity is the key to our success as a people. We must come together and work towards achieving our common goals, which are the economic development, social justice, and cultural preservation of the Yoruba people,” he said.

As an organization, we are committed to uniting Yorubaland and replacing other polarized Yoruba groups. We believe that the Yoruba people deserve a strong, united voice that truly represents their interests and aspirations, and we are committed to providing that voice.

We also recognize the importance of embracing the Kwara and Kogi regions. We believe that these regions are an integral part of Yorubaland, and we are committed to working with the people of these regions to promote their interests and aspirations.

As part of our efforts to unite Yorubaland, we have embarked on a visit to Obas in Yorubaland to solicit their support and to listen to their views and aspirations. We believe that the Obas are custodians of our cultural heritage and have a crucial role to play in promoting the interests of the Yoruba people.

As an organization committed to preserving the legacy and power of commitment of Obafemi Awolowo, we congratulate President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his recent electoral victory.

Tinubu has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the Yoruba people, and we are confident that his presidency will usher in a new era of progress and development for our people.

“We call on all Yorubas in Lagos to come out and vote for Sanwo-Olu on March 11. We believe that Sanwo-Olu has the experience and vision to lead Lagos to greater heights and to ensure that our people enjoy the dividends of democracy.

“Finally, we are pleased to announce that our inauguration will kick off soon in Lagos and Ibadan. We are excited to embark on this new journey, and we look forward to working with all Yorubas to promote their interests and aspirations.

The group (YMG) is poised to take over from Afenifere

Recall there was a division within the yoruba group called Afenifere over the 2023 general election’s endorsement of presidential candidates.

While Fasoranti endorsed Tinubu of APC and Adebanjo backed presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi.

In March 2021, 96-year-old Fasoranti stepped down as National Leader of Afenifere, the pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, citing old age. He handed over to 93-year-old Ayo Adebanjo as the Acting National Leader.

Voice Air Media reported that Bola Tinubu from the APC won the presidential election of February 25th, 2023.
