Tragedy struck at the Fajol axis of Obantoko area in Abeokuta, Ogun state on Sunday, January 8, after a yet-to-be-identified woman fell from her husband’s motorcycle while they were riding to church.
According to reports, the incident happened while the husband was trying to avoid a head-on collision with another motorcycle coming from the opposite direction. He lost control and this led to his wife falling to her death.
Confirming the incident, the spokesman of Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi, attributed the incident to reckless riding on the part of the motorcyclist, which led to the loss of control and in the process, the woman sitting at the back fell off, hit her head on the ground and died on the spot.
