Germany and Costa Rica have crashed out of the 2022 World Cup as Japan beat Spain to win group E.
Spain qualified as runners-up after leapfrogging the Germans on goal difference.
The dramatic encounters go intense when Costa Rica were heading through in the group as they were beating Germany by 2:1 before Kai Harvertz came off the bench to bag a brace and Fullkrug scored the last one.
However, the results could not get the 2014 Champions to the next round as Japanese beat Spanish in the other encounter.
