Japan shocks Germany, Spain romps to victory as Morocco, and Croatia both grab a point

The Worldcup fixture for today begins with Morocco, and Croatia as both grabbed a point, Leaving either Belgium or Canada to top the table if one of them wins tonight.

However, Japan caused a major upset at the 2022 World Cup by defeating Germany in their Group E opener.

Ilkay Gundogan scored from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute before Japan struck back in the second half.

Ritsu Doan and Takuma Asano scored within eight second-half winners to stun Germany in Qatar.

While Spain made their mark on the 2022 World Cup with a 7-0 thrashing of Costa Rica and a performance that sent a message to sides backed to win the tournament.

Dani Olmo got La Roja off the mark, scoring their 100th World Cup goal after 11 minutes, and Marco Asensio doubled their lead 10 minutes later.

Ferran Torres scored either side of halftime, once from the penalty spot and once from open play, before Gavi netted the pick of the goals and became Spain’s youngest World Cup goalscorer in the process.

Gavi was one of two teenagers selected by Spain boss Luis Enrique, and both he and Pedri were outstanding performers in a team that showed very few weaknesses, as Carlos Soler and Alvaro Morata completed the scoring.

Presently, A wonderful strike from Michy Batshuayi put Belgium ahead of Canada.

The game is nearing its conclusion, and if Belgium wins, they will be in first place in group F.
