Osun Amotekun Football Competition: Oyetola commends corps leadership as Osun Central team emerge 2022 champions

The Final Match of the Osun Security Network Agency and Amotekun Corps 2022 Annual Football Competition has been brought to an end today after the final match between Osun Central B and Osun West A was played, where the Osun central B Team defeated Osun West A with 2 goals to 1 to emerge the champions.

According to Yusuf Idowu Abass, the head of media of the Amotekun Osun Command, said the competition was organized in honor of Governor Gboyega Oyetola and dedicated to the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye.

Recall that the football match was kicked off on Tuesday 18th October 2022 by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye at Lanreleke Sports Academy Ile-Ogbo in Ayedire Local Government of Osun State.

In his welcome address, the Board Chairman of Osun Amotekun Corps, Brig. Gen. Ademola Aderibigbe appreciates the guests for the invitations, he said the motive behind the initiative is to keep the personnel fit all the time and to promote peace and unity among the corps members, he assured the residents of the state that the corps will not relent in curbing crime in the society.

When speaking at the competition, the representative of Governor Gboyega Oyetola, Honourable Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon. Yemi Lawal commends the leadership of the corps for the initiative, he also commends the corps in the state for their support in securing the state from criminals, he promised to provide all the necessary tools for all the security in the state to curb crime in the state.

The dignitaries at the football match are Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon. Yemi Lawal, Hon. Israel Ajibola Famurewa (SUBEB), Chief Moshood Adekunle Oluawo, Hon. Richard Tinubu (DG Boss), Justice Oyejide Falola, and his wife, SSA Security Hon. Taofeek Falade, Principal Lanreleke Sports Academy, and others are numerous to mention.
