Arindunu: Ooni of Ife to wed seventh wife (Details)

It seems like the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi isn’t done with his marriage spree.

The Oonirisha is set to pick another wife again.

Reports making rounds as it that the Ooni is set to marry a seventh wife, Aridunu.

The Royal wedding is slated for the 29th of October.

Medical doctor applies to be Ooni’s eighth wife
A medical doctor from Ekiti state had applied to become the eighth wife of the Ooni of Ife.

Following the news of his several marriages, a medical doctor who hails from Ekiti state had applied to be the monarch’s sixth wife.

The Medical doctor, identified as Bella Nifemi made a submission to the monarch.

She promised to represent Twitter and the Ekiti community well, if considered as his wife.

“This is my submission to be Ooni’s 8th wife. I’m also a Medical Doctor and I will represent Twitter and Ekiti community well”.

Ooni reveals reasons for marrying several wives
Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi had disclosed why he had been marrying several women for weeks now.

The Ooni while marking his 48th birthday and seventh coronation anniversary, had clarified why he married Mariam Anako and the others.

The Ooni explained that he tried making some changes but he couldn’t. Maybe referring to his decision to keep to only one queen and have concubines, the monarch said of the traditional heritage of Ile Ife, “This institution is bigger than me, beyond me. People in this palace are more than 800, they are close to a thousand. There are some people who have been living in this palace for more than 60 years, while some have lived here for more than 80 years old. Some people are over 100 years old in this palace.
