The fate of primary education in Yobe State is about to be destroyed due to the lack of quality education, but the most serious problem is the lack of enough teachers, even the Quack” teachers are nothing close to “enough.” According to National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) statistics on literacy, Yobe State is among the states with the worst illiteracy.

Few months ago, there was a grand fund-raising event, the Yobe State Education Appeal Fund (YetFund) organized by Yobe State Government in Abuja, soliciting for financial support to improve it’s education sector, but, after months, students, parents, and teachers have not seen any initiative by the government in that regard so far.

Arikime Primary School, which is one of the most populous primary schools in Nigeria. Located at Dogonini ward of Potiskum Local Government area, Arikime Primary School is becoming one of the most terrifying educational environments in the country.

During an interview with an employee of the primary school who asked to remain anonymous, there are more than nineteen thousand students in the school currently.

While lamenting the situation, he confirmed that the government employees is more than 36, but only the said number are performing their duties as staffers over the years.

“This problem has been a common one in the entire state.” he added. Cbecoming one of the most horrific educational environments in the country.
