Five people have been burnt to death as a truck conveying sand and a commercial bus collided at Alaro City inward Epe area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.

The accident occurred on Tuesday. The five casualties were male from Katsina State.

Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, in a statement said upon arrival of the LASEMA Response Team, LRT Whale’s Squad at Epe at the incident scene, it was revealed that a truck conveying sand had a head on collision with a hummer commuter bus with 6 passengers on board.

He said the two vehicles got burnt as a result of the impact of the clash while the five victims were also burnt to death.

“Furthermore the two vehicles got burnt as a result of the impact of the collision, unfortunately, 5 adult males (all from Katsina State ) were burnt beyond recognition.
