Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has lashed out at the Nigerian government for pampering terrorists rather than killing them like the Americans are doing.
Fani-Kayode was reacting to US’ killing of the killing of Ayman al-Zawahiri, al Qaeda leader.
President Joe Biden had said on Saturday, at his direction, the United States successfully conducted an airstrike in Kabul, Afghanistan that killed the emir of al-Qa’ida: Ayman al-Zawahiri.
He said the United States continued to demonstrate its resolve and capacity to defend the American people against those who sought to do them harm.
“Tonight we made clear: No matter how long it takes. No matter where you try to hide. We will find you. I made a promise to the American people that we’d continue to conduct effective counterterrorism operations in Afghanistan and beyond. We have done that,” he said.
Reacting to this development, Fani-Kayode said the Americans killed Osama Bin Ladin, AbuBakr Al Baghdadi and now Ayman Al Zawahiri, while giving the US kudos for a job well done.
He lamented that in Nigeria, terrorists were not killed, but that they were being begged, paid, appeased and rewarded with chieftaincy titles.
He tweeted: “The Americans killed Osama Bin Ladin, AbuBakr Al Baghdadi & now Ayman Al Zawahiri. Kudos!
“In Nigeria we do not kill terrorists: we beg them, pay them, appease them, reward them, bow before them, give them chieftaincy titles & let them break into prison to free their brothers.” CONTINUE READING……….
