Nigerian Police Shoot Journalist, One Other In Osun

The Osun state correspondent of The Nation Newspaper, Toba Adedeji, has been shot by the police.

Adedeji was shot alongside a teenager at Olaiya, Osogbo, by overzealous policemen who wanted to disperse a mourning crowd.

The crowd was said to be that of people who converged on Olaiya to mourn the passage of Mr Abiola Afolabi who was killed by policemen on April 4, 2022.

Afolabi was buried today and his friends held a rally to mourn him.

It was gathered that Adedeji had been rushed to the Osun State University Teaching Hospital for treatment. CONTINUE READING….
