Ondo senator retrieves gifted vehicles from party leaders, after losing primary

Ayo Akinyelure, the Senator representing Ondo Central in the National Assembly has lost his bid to return to the Nigerian Red Chamber for the third term.

The Ondo Senator has therefore begun to reclaim the vehicles he gave to some Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, leaders.

The Ondo legislator has come second with 52 votes in the primary election held on Monday.

The legislator has allegedly demanded his vehicles back from the leaders of the party, after the party’s primary election which did not end in his favor.

The Senator, according to a source within the party, reclaimed the vehicle he gave Chief Segun Adegoke, a member of the PDP’s Board of Trustees, BOT. He also retrieved the vehicle he gave Hon. Wole Akindiose, a former PDP Chairman in Ondo East and national delegate to the party’s upcoming convention.

The Ondo Senator has however blamed the immediate past governor of the state for the outcome of the party’s primary election. CONTINUE READING…
