Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has mourned the passing of elder statesman, Pa Reuben Famuyide Fasoranti, who died at the age of 100.
In a condolence message personally signed on Tuesday Governor Aiyedatiwa described the centenarian’s death as a great loss to the state and the Yoruba nation, noting that he received the news with a heavy heart but with total submission to the will of God.
The Governor described the late nonagenarian as a patriarch and a beacon of wisdom, integrity and selfless service, whose century-long life was marked by uncommon commitment to the development of Ondo State, Yorubaland and Nigeria at large.
According to him, Pa Fasoranti’s counsel, fatherly guidance and principled stand on issues of justice and good governance will be sorely missed.
