Shehu Sani under fresh fire after losing Kaduna PDP Governorship primary

Senator Shehu Sani was being rigorously criticized after he lost the Kaduna PDP Governorship primaries held on Wednesday, earning just two votes.

The Senator was mocked and criticized after he took to his Twitter account on Thursday morning to give details of how he was defeated.

“The Kaduna PDP Governorship primaries have been concluded. I lost and Honourable Isah Ashiru won. I wish to congratulate him. Two Delegates voted for me without giving them a dime; unfortunately, I don’t know who they are so I can appreciate these clean votes. We look forward,” Sani wrote on Twitter.

Reacting to his tweet, Musa Ahmed said: “This is the reality some people here on Twitter do not know nor understand. It’s not by causing gridlock on Twitter, politics is local.

“This would have been a child’s play had Peter Obi entered the PDP primaries. It’s not Twitter noise. Wish you well in your blogging career.”

Another commentator Edward Onoriode said: “I’m happy many people are now seeing how Politics is run.

“It’s not about your online followers or popularity but how you play your internal Politics and if you’re sellable.

“You may be rich but if you’re not marketable, delegates will disappoint you even with your money.”

Balogun Kuku wrote on Twitter: “You can now resume your job as a bandits news journalist.”
