How Police Escorts Ran Inside Toilets To Hide From Terrorists: Bombed Abuja-Kaduna Train

A survivor of the Abuja- Kaduna train attack has said some of the police escorts ran into the toilets to hide when terrorists opened fire on the train on Monday evening.

According to SaharaReporters, the survivor, who spoke on condition of anonymity via phone call on Tuesday narrated how police escorts on the train ran into the toilets to hide the moment the attackers opened fire.

She said the pandemonium on the train during the tragic incident forced people to scamper for safety anywhere available, adding that the weapons used by the terrorists were more sophisticated than the ones with the policemen on board.

“The police escorts on the train ran into the toilets and many passengers joined them. The terrorists came with sophisticated weapons which scared the police,” she said.

The woman described her escape as an act of God, saying she hid under the seats while the bullets were flying over her head.

It has been earlier reported that suspected terrorists detonated a bomb on the rail track of an Abuja-Kaduna train on Monday evening.

This publication also reported that two cleaners and workers of the attacked Abuja-Kaduna train identified as Loretta and Abdul, reportedly lost their lives and their corpses deposited at St. Gerald’s Catholic Hospital in Kaduna.
A female medical doctor, Megafu Chinelo, who was meant to travel out of the country on Friday was also killed in the Abuja-Kaduna train attack on Monday.
