Bamise: Driver of BRT bus boarded by slain 21-year-old remanded

A Yaba Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State has ordered that a Bus Rapid Transit driver, Nice Andrew Omininikoron, be remanded for 30 days in Ikoyi Custodial Centre for alleged murder and rape of a 22-year-old girl, Oluwabamise Ayanwole.

At his arraignment on Friday, Omininikoron had the charges of rape and murder of the lady preferred against him.

The Court made the order on Friday following an application by the Nigeria Police.

In the application, Police counsel, Yetunde Cardoso, premised the arraignment on a four-count charge of alleged murder, sexual assault, misconduct and interference with a corpse.

Ayanwole boarded the bus on February 26, 2022.
