Senate Minority Leader Dumps PDP, Received Into APC By Buhari

The Senate Deputy Minority Leader, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the governing All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Lawmaker representing the Taraba South Senatorial District at the upper chamber was officially received into the party by President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.

Personal Assistant to President Buhari on Digital and New Media made this known in a tweet on his official Twitter handle.

Meanwhile, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has informed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of plans to hold its national convention on February 26.

The notification letter, dated February 2, 2022, with reference number APC/NHDQ/INEC/19/022/14, was addressed to the Chairman of the electoral body, Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu.

The letter was jointly signed by Sen. John Akpanudoedehe, the National Secretary; and the Chairman of the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Mai Mala Buni.
