BREAKING: Gunmen kidnap teacher in Ekiti

Unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a teacher identified as Mrs Awoniyi along the Ilasa Ekiti-Ayebode Ekiti road in the Ekiti East Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

It was gathered the incident on Monday evening around 4 pm.

The Ilasa-Ayebode road is a route where kidnappers abducted many Ekiti citizens.

Two months ago, kidnappers engaged soldiers in a shootout in two different locations in Ayebode and Ilasa communities.

On September 20, a couple who billed to officially wed three days to their ceremony were kidnapped by gunmen along the Ilasa Ekiti-Ayebode Ekiti Road.

The couple were returning from Ado Ekiti, the state capital, where they had gone to purchase some commodities in preparation for their wedding when they were accosted by the hoodlums.

On October 22, three passengers travelling from Ayedun-Ekiti to Ilasa-Ekiti were kidnapped along the road.
