Paul Ince: I’m Not Mad But Man Utd Could Win Champions League

Former Manchester United star, Paul Ince, has made a rather shocking prediction that the club could win the Champions League this season.

Ralf Rangnick’s men have booked a date with Atletico Madrid in the round of 16 of the competition.

United had played a LaLiga outfit, Villarreal in the group stages, beating Diego Simeone’s men home and away and topping the group after losing their first game.

And Ince, a two-time Premier League titleholder, reckons that the Red Devils could go all the way due to the nature of knockout football.

“They can win the Champions League, people will think I’m mad, but they can,” Ince told The Mirror.

“United can beat anybody on their day. Anybody, no matter who they are.

“In knockout football, if you are on your game and on form and with the world class players they’ve got, there’s no reason they can’t get to a Champions League final or win it.”
